Through the years, the US Government has become more and more outsourced, to the point where entire departments of the government are now run by private corporations. As global resources become more and more limited, these corporations” have begun to hire private militia to physically secure what they can, while the government turns a blind eye.
This conflict has resulted in the CEO of Powers Electric Company (PEC), Bradley “Bolt” Powers, being arrested for war crimes against a civilian populace. Their contracted muscle, Anubis Defense Contractors (ADC), has moved its interests north, as well as changed its upper level management.
The CEO of the Environment First Conglomerate (EFC), Richard “The Hippy”, has begun a political campaign to become Mayor of New Dallas. Touting his contracted “muscle”, Redwood Defense Corp. (RDC), and their victory over ADC, not to mention the company’s “Martial Law” style control of the area, he looks to be running unopposed.
A civilian revolutionary group, calling themselves the Civilian Tactical Assembly (CivTac), have risen up to allow New Dallas to succeed from corporate US structure. Using the atrocities committed by RWD as fuel, CivTac’s charismatic leaders, only identified as Flex and Grim, are gaining more backing every day.
Recent reports show CivTac potentially looking to ADC for financial backing. ADC Leadership has neither denied nor confirmed these claims, but has vowed to help the downtrodden civilian population of New Dallas with any humanitarian needs that may arise.
